Page types are a set of templates that dictate the structure and design of every page, depending on the purpose of the page.

Why content types?

Users don’t come to government websites to browse. They come with a specific need in mind: pay a traffic ticket, find information on getting a divorce, apply for a building permit.

This is why all new & redesigned pages on the TravisCountyTX.gov website must address one (and only one) clearly defined user need.

The set of templates helps us make sure that the website actually serves those needs. By selecting the appropriate template, we can make sure that we communicate exactly what the constituent needs to know and do to access our services.
